Sparks                 Band Members                

Hi, I am Andy (aka Sparks)  the bass guitarist with Fade2Black.  I have played with various Sheffield bands over the years.

I grew up listening to the English blues scene of the mid to late sixties, enjoying acts such as Fleetwood Mac, John Mayall, Rory Gallagher and The Groundhogs. This early introduction to the blues (heavily influenced by my older brother Steve!) led me to seek out people like Howlin' Wolf, John Lee Hooker, BB King, and although I enjoy a wide range of music, the blues will be with me always.

My first band, Hughie, reflected my more than passing interest in psychedelia, which ambitiously included Grateful Dead and other West Coast covers in its repertoire.

In later years I joined the Rhythm Method, another local band playing covers demonstrating a wide range of tastes, after which I proved my 'heavier' side with rock band Kymaera.

Then, along came The Call playing popular covers, and now Fade2Black.
